Prolotherapy - 2006/09/09 07:51 What can you tell us about prolotherapy for animals? I've used the therapy myself on one knee that was very sore after twisting and stretching the ligaments over the years ( I am 67) and I have absolutely no pain now in that knee. I have a rescued female Australian Shepherd who has a severe swayback caused by too many litters in the "puppy mill" where she was and I was wondering if prolotherapy would help. Lucille in Ottawa

Re:Prolotherapy - 2006/09/10 05:33 Prolotherapy is used in both small and large animals. There was a training course in PA this year with Drs, DeHann and Shoemaker. I had taken some of the lectures at the AHVMA conference. You can check out the AHVMA.org website to find a veterinarian that will do it. I have done two cases with positive results.

Re:Prolotherapy - 2007/02/10 19:51 Lucille. Would you send me more information on how you used it on yourself?
My wife is has had a bad knee problem. This looks as though it might help her. Sorry for being off topic. Rick
