We tried to show how caring and compassionate veterinarians are as they practice their art of healing. If we bring in the question about limited options that occur when alternative therapies are not part of the protocol of the gold standard of medical care ,does that mean exclusion of alternative is inferior care to the patient? I believe it is and those practitioners who deny those treatments through discounting integrative modalities do a injustice to their patient. Veterinarians that care about the animals want to do the best job they can and should always continue to look at all possibilities to help their patient regain health. Ignoring choices becuse of ingorance is unfair and is not part if the veterinary oath.
